Pioneering Organic Agriculture In Zambia
Empowering youth and smallholders with affordable, eco-friendly organic inputs, building healthy soils, and creating sustainable rural livelihoods.
Youth-Led Innovation For Zambia's Farmers
Zambia Youth for Organic Agriculture (ZYOA) is a dynamic, youth-led initiative founded in Mudenda Village, Kanakantapa, focused on creating resilient agricultural solutions for Zambia’s small-scale farmers.
Smallholder farmers across our nation face steep barriers: surging prices for imported synthetic fertilizers, decreasing crop yields due to soil acidification, and heightened vulnerability to climate variability.
At ZYOA, we turn locally available natural and agricultural residues into rich, affordable, bio-active organic fertilizers—particularly through Bokashi anaerobic fermentation. In doing so, we restore soil biology, reduce dependency on expensive imports, and provide youth with high-impact, dignified livelihoods.
