FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our organic fertilizers, application rates, and farmer workshops.

What does ZYOA stand for?

ZYOA stands for Zambia Youth for Organic Agriculture. We are a youth-led social enterprise and community organization committed to sustainable agricultural transformation and rural youth empowerment across Zambia.

What is Bokashi bio-fertilizer and why is it better?

Bokashi is a Japanese-originated anaerobic fermentation method that transforms organic matter and agricultural waste into a nutrient-rich, bio-active soil dressing. Unlike synthetic fertilizers that acidify soil over time, Bokashi introduces trillions of beneficial microorganisms that regenerate the soil biome, retain moisture, and supply plants with steady, balanced plant nutrition.

How can smallholders access or purchase ZYOA solutions?

Farmers can reach out directly via WhatsApp at +260 977 317 239, call our hotline, or submit the form above. We supply packaged Bokashi fertilizer directly from our Kanakantapa production hub and arrange bulk cooperative deliveries.

Do you offer training in villages and cooperatives?

Yes! We actively facilitate on-site community workshops for farmer groups, youth cooperatives, and schools. We teach farmers how to prepare their own bio-composts and utilize sustainable organic techniques tailored to their local soil.
